For the ones the church doors missed.

Heal. Thrive. Live authentically — beyond labels.

You don't have to become someone else to belong here.

This ain't ministry behind stained glass. This is scripture on the sidewalk, healing on the block, poetry with a pulse — a home for the mislabeled, the misunderstood, and the ones still becoming.

1 Timothy 4:12–16 · AMP “…be an example and set a pattern for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in [moral] purity.”

Minister Tru — poet first, preacher always.

I'm Tru. I spit poetry, I sing, I study — and I don't code-switch my calling for anybody. I'm a minister with a mic, a scholar in the making (PhD loading), and a survivor who turned her own healing into a whole ecosystem.

“I don't preach from a pedestal — I testify from the pavement.
The same streets that raised me are the ones I'm sent to.
If God met me in the mess, He can meet you in yours.”

Tru Identity lives at the intersection — where the secular and the sacred stop pretending they don't know each other. We're not here to reach the already-reached. We're here for the ones outside the doors: the creatives, the neurodivergent, the church-hurt, the street-raised, the label-worn. Come as you are. Leave as who you were always created to be.

Spiritual C.P.R.

Our signature rhythm for when life knocks the wind out of you. Tap a step — breathe with it. This is how we come back to life, one honest breath at a time.

BREATHE IN

Tap start. Let your shoulders drop. God is not in a hurry, and neither are we.

A word for the walk

Scripture you can carry in your pocket on the bus, on the block, on the hard days. A new anchor every day of the week.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. EZEKIEL 36:26 · WORD FOR SUNDAY

Devotionals — the daily bread

Two ways to eat: the written Word, and the Word set to music. Minister Tru edits the Music Devotional herself — reflection and all.

WRITTEN DEVOTIONAL · TODAY

Labeled by the Block, Named by God

They called you everything except what heaven calls you. The block gave you a nickname. The system gave you a file number. The diagnosis gave you an acronym. But before any of them spoke, God already had — and His word outranks every label ever taped to your name.

Identity theft is real, and the enemy's favorite trick is getting you to answer to a name God never gave you. Today we practice answering only to the one He did: Beloved. Chosen. Mine.

SIT WITH THIS

What label have you been answering to that God never gave you? Write it down. Then write His name for you right over it — in bigger letters.

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.” ISAIAH 43:1

Read it out loud. Names get stronger in the air than they do in your head.

When the Song Preaches First

Some sermons arrive as melodies. Before there was a choir loft there was a corner, a guitar, and a testimony with a hook. Today's devotional rides on a track — press play, let the song minister, then read the reflection while it breathes.

MINISTER TRU'S REFLECTION

David didn't just write psalms — he survived them. Every track on this page is a psalm somebody survived. Listen for the moment the minor key turns: that's the sound of a testimony changing direction. Your key is about to change too.

    The stoop is the sanctuary

Every color, every story, every kind of wiring — neurodivergent, street-raised, book-smart, block-smart. This is what the family looks like: everybody on the steps, nobody on the outside looking in.

“Come as you are — the steps are wide enough for everybody.”

TRU's Sound — where the city sings back

Music isn't a side of this ministry. Music is the ministry. This is the music Tru actually plays — her own 55-song rotation, the same catalog behind TRU Tunes. Every day carries a song, and every song in this house passed through prayer before it reached your ears.

    Tru's Daily Drop · Today

    Today's song is loading…

One song a day from Tru's own 55-song rotation — a new one rises every morning. Pick your platform and press play.

    The Featured Rotation

Ten flagships straight off Tru's shelves, spanning all four lanes — Kingdom Hip-Hop, Gospel Now, Soul & R&B Praise, and Worship Heat.

Drop a Song for the Family

Heard something that healed something? Share it. Every submission goes to Minister Tru's desk first — she listens, she prays, she approves what feeds the house.

    Tru's Desk — Awaiting a Blessing

The approval queue. Nothing reaches the family playlist unheard. (Prototype view: you're wearing Tru's hat here — approve a song and watch it land on the playlist.)

    How the Daily Drop Works

The drop at the top of this page isn't picked by an algorithm chasing clicks — it rises straight out of Tru's own 55-song rotation, the same catalog she built into TRU Tunes. One song for every day of the year, cycling through Kingdom Hip-Hop, Gospel Now, Soul & R&B Praise, and Worship Heat.

New morning, new medicine. Come back tomorrow and a different song from her shelves will be waiting.

    Why a queue, though?

Because shepherds guard gates. The same internet that carries healing carries harm — so in this house, a human with a calling listens first. It's not censorship; it's care. Every approved song is a song somebody prayed over.

That's the whole model: community brings the sound, ministry keeps it safe, everybody eats.

    The Family Playlist

Songs the family submitted and Minister Tru blessed. Tap Amen when one of them carries you.

The Pen — bars & blessings

The blog of a poet-minister: part journal, part sermon notes, part late-night voice memo turned into prose. Read one. Sit with it. Argue with it in the comments of your own heart.

Members Only — the inner room

Some things are for the whole street. Some things are for the family. This is the family part.

    Behind this door: deeper water.

The sanctuary is public. The inner room is where we do the unfiltered work — the prayers too raw for a timeline, the studies too real for a highlight reel.

    • The full prayer wall — post, and be prayed for by name
    • Members-only devotionals & the uncut music sessions
    • Early access to every TRU Tech game and app

    The Prayer Wall

    Members-Only Devotional

“The Study & The Streets” — for the ones doing both. You're earning degrees and dodging old demons in the same week. That's not double-minded; that's double-anointed.
